I did some research today and found out that the top players in web hosting in the Philippines charge too much for their service. For the usual 100MB space and 5Gig Bandwith they will charge you for like 50 Pesos to 100 Pesos (approx. $2.5). And the space is just too small for even the smallest of businesses. When you find yourself wanting to expand your site, the next tier of hosting package would be $10 to $20 per month.
But if you look further, you will find that international hosting companies such as bluehost & hostmonster charges only $5 for a huge chunk of space and bandwidth. Compare a 100MB space, 5Gig Bandwidth to UNLIMITED space and UNLIMITED bandwidth!

Kidding aside. I know you want to have a web hosting in the Philippines, but the thing is, international web hosts are just cheaper and gives the most bang for your buck. You can also pay them instantly and automatically through credit card or paypal. No hassle. I’m not downsizing the web hosting in the Philippines. It’s just that, they provide better product/service for cheaper price. I hope this is a wake up call for local web hosting companies as the price for web hosting in the Philippines isn’t really that affordable.
